The Staff

The staff at St Mary’s pre-school have a wealth of experience and many have been there for over 10 years. They have a passion for giving every child the best guidance and support for a smooth transition into starting school.

Our Aim

Our aim is to provide a safe and stimulating environment where your child can build confidence, make new friends and gain a wealth of knowledge through play and discovery. The children enjoy a variety of activities both inside and out including free and structured play. Basic skills of speaking, listening, literacy and numeracy are achieved, along with independence and self-confidence coupled with kindness and consideration for others.

Key Person

We take great care in settling your child into pre-school, so to help them, we allocate each child with a ‘key person’. They will build an important relationship with your child so they feel welcome, secure and contented. The ‘key person’ will also observe to understand your child’s individual needs and interests, they will share information to you about your child’s development and progress.
